Our research project Crafting Futures is still in its early stages but has already attracted considerable attention from both the public and the media. Outlets such as 3sat nano, tagesschau.de, SWR Aktuell, and Die Rheinpfalz have reported on the project’s vision to make the local impacts of climate change tangible and relatable through augmented reality.
We are particularly encouraged by the growing number of inquiries from municipalities, schools, and civic organizations, which reflect a strong demand for accessible representations of local climate effects and adaptation strategies.
At the moment, the team is developing first prototypes to explore the potential of these technologies and to assess their impact in different real-world scenarios.
